“Maintain your seats in the upright position and prepare for take–off.“

One of my favorite phrases. I collect phrases. They dive into my head and swim around, waiting for the second they are shocked by charged neurons and are dispensed through my own mouth. I feel that same way about many things. It's like being a filter for the world around you: being able to take put together a string of thought, make it into an idea and then having a way of executing those ideas into functional elaborate answers for the viewing of others. The first time I recall the word ‘design‘ was in a Robert Frost poem. design: a designated plan. What I see is that's exactly what design is, its a structure that provides function and aesthetic to everything it's applied to. These two forces have to be at great balance and have to feed–off each other for the idea to attain success.

My main influences are all over the artistic map; Salvador Dalí, Gabriel García Márquez, Dave Kinsey, Barbara Kruger, 16th and 17th century Japanese Prints, Eugene Atget, Helmut Newton, Tchaicovsky, El Lissitzky, Alexander Rodchenko, Lazlo Moholy Nagy, Pink Floyd, The Bauhaus, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichentstein, Milan Kundera, Oliver Stone, David Finch, Mike Myers, J R R Tolkien, like I said about phrases, all of these people provide a sea of information from which to explore my own views.
